Chelsea Tavern is the best bar in Wilmington DE for those looking for high-quality or rare beers. It is on Market Street, right across from the historic Grand Opera House. Chelsea has a 12-chair marble top bar at the front of the restaurant and a couple high top tables in the bar area. Past the bar is the dining room with plenty of space. The atmosphere is relatively upscale, and they have an excellent menu of creative and delicious cuisine. The bar has about 16 beers on tap, which they rotate frequently, and I almost always find something new I've not had before. It's a little pricey, but a very nice place to visit for a quality meal, nice atmosphere, and bold beers.
