I stopped by on a cool damp Saturday evening. The place was crowded, but we managed to get two seats at the bar. The crowd was a nice mix. Mostly students from near by U of M but plenty of older folks as well. I think it says something good about a bar when it can attract a wide range of folks.

This is a nice Irish style pub. There is a long L shaped bar and plenty of tables to sit at. It has the usual collection of Guinness & Irish knick-knacks. The set the band up in the SE corner and have to move folks out of their seats to do this. Keep this in mind when grapping a table.

The bartender was great. Fast professional and friendly service. Most of the servers appear to be students earning their way through school. I did not try the food, but plenty of folks were eating, so take that as you will.

The beer selection is fairly mediocre. Smithwicks, Bass, Guinness, Harp, & Boddingtons are the highlights. They also offer a few ciders.

No real reason to come here for beer. Come instead for the music and the friendly folks.
