Decided to stop in here as it was nearby.
Inside they made every effort to appear authentic as an Irish pub could be, complete with a snug, and wood laden interior. Seemed to accommodate large groups, there was a banquet area upstairs and outdoor patio. We sat in the bar area, and ordered from the bar despite sitting at a table. Stained glass accents around, low lighting, wood shelving and knick-knacks all around.
Beer selection was dismal. 12 taps and all macro or typical import crap. Kilkenny was the one thing I hadn't seen before, and the best tap was 2 Bros Dog Days. Other than that your typical Stella, Harp, Guinness, Miller, Woodchuck, etc. In bottles they had about 6-8 craft choices out of 30 total. Goose IPA, Alpha King, Metropolitan Flywheel, 2 Bros, and not much else.
Guacamole was decent and came with pico de gallo. That's right, in an Irish bar...shocking! The crowd left something to be desired, large groups of bros at the bar trying to mack on the bartenders. Next...

linkIrish bar. Although beer selection is dominated by your typical Irish/Brit exports, there's a good craft selection too - Bell's Kalamazoo offerings, Dogfish 60 and 90 IPA bottles, New Holland Mad Hatter, some Sam Smith's bottles, and other rotating selections. Look for the beer 'monthly special' as this can be a bargain (Jan '08 was Dogfish 60 and 90 bottles for $4, not cheap but a good bar price in my opinion). Food is generally quite good, with an extensive menu - typical pub fare (good burgers) plus some more interesting items. Staff is very friendly, but the bar area can be a bit slow sometimes, even when not busy, usually due to staffing. Never had a problem with someone being unfriendly or blatantly screwing things up though. Irish music on Thursdays (starts at 8), plus other acts on weekends. Place tends to get crowded on a Friday or Saturday night late if a band's playing, but otherwise usually not a problem to find a table. Free lot next to the building is small, but street parking is also available.
