Uncle Mike's is the 2nd of 3 locations in the Kenosha area. This one has the largest selection of the three, but the most remote location. It's not too far south on Sheridan Rd. from downtown Kenosha. From the outside it looked like a roadhouse sort of place, minus the row of Harleys and Budweiser sign you might see at such an establishment. There was a Flying Dog neon and other craft signage that let me know I was in the right place. Inside it was a little dark and smoky, with a northwoods lodge meets sports bar feel.

The crowd was mostly locals of all ages, there were a few flatscreens around playing satellite games. There were a few electronic games also, darts, golden tee, etc. They have a seasonal patio in the back, and serve 16" homemade pizzas.

Taps have a few rotating gems, so check the list online before you go. In the past they have had Stone Ruination, Arrogant Bastard, Brugge Zot, seasonal Oktoberfests, and currently Brother Thelonious, Avery Ale to the Chief, Rare Vos, and Weihenstephaner. 18 taps in all. The bottle list was more extensive, with NG Unplugged, limited Tyrenena, Central Waters, Founders, limited barrel-aged Allagash, 3F Oude Gueuze, and tons more. There is an overwhelming amount of names on the list to sift through, but if you know what you're looking for there are many quality options.

Technically this is the closest bar to the Illinois border to get certain WI only beers, plus many more. Worth making a border run or pit stop on the way up north, there's also a nice forest preserve nearby.
