Tenuta's is an italian deli (that sells gourmet food from a lot of countries) that also happens to have a good selection of beer and alcohol. They have a large selection of imports and a decent sized selection of micro crafts (FFF, Stone, DFH). The macro selection is pretty much dedicated to PBR, Hamms, Old Style, the old guard WI macros. But I noticed a lot of beers here that I haven't seen in any of the other surrounding stores. These include several exotic African and Asian brands I was puzzled to see. It also had a few rarer Czech beers. The import selection ranges from a good supply of Belgians (though they are scattered everywhere), and a little bit of everything from a host of countries far and wide. For the craft i remember most of the WI brews being there along with some of the bigger micros like Dogfish Head.

The prices here seemed very reasonable as I was able to get Baltika 7 for 50 cents a bottle and Chimay red for 10.50 and a free glass. Also a case of Castello for only 9.99. Leute Bok for only 2.99, lots of deals here.

Overall this wouldn't be my first stomping ground but if you in the mood for something exotic from a far off place this will deliver. Its good to go here and pick up some ingredients for dinner while also getting a good selection of beer.

12/2009: Saturday afternoon they were doing a Sprecher beer tasting in the beer aisle. Noticed some new seasonals like Eisphyre and Steamworks Diablo.

I've been here a dozen times and never really considered it the best stop for beer in Kenosha. That said, it's an institution of Italian food & culture for sure, with an ok beer selection.

The main thing they have beer-wise is decent local stuff, New Glarus, Tyranena (no BGW), Central Waters (basic lineup). It's about 50/50 craft/macro, but what they have is decent. Some good imports like St. Bernardus and Paulaner, nothing rare or obscure, mostly just the staples. Usually a couple mini-kegs in the cooler, check dates. Beer is along the wall past the registers to the left. If you venture into the grocery area, things get a little maze-like, but it's kinda fun. Be sure to check out the deli counter and their homemade panini, muffoletta, and hot meatball sub sandwiches.

Don't just expect to buy beer here, there are also a ton of homemade grocery items like italian sauces, hot pepper spread, all manner of exotic Italian foods. Be sure to check dates on stuff though, they are known for not always rotating stock. High school kids mostly tend to work here, so don't expect much help.
