linkUnderbar is underrated... The only 4am beer bar in town to my knowledge. Fairly close to Kuma's, nice place to unwind afterwards.
It's dark and intimate, kind of musty with plenty of craft beers available. Sort of hidden away under the Western bridge over Belmont. For some reason I only find myself here after drinking elsewhere, so I guess it's not much of a destination. Thankfully they have some good taps and it's never crowded in the early evening (they open at 9pm).
Jolly Pumpkin, rotating 3 Floyds taps, usually Gumballhead and a seasonal. Typically a couple super cheap beers on special. Dark Horse (Double Crooked, Plead the 5th), Old Rasputin, quite a few craft beers leaning towards US>Euro>Belgian. Service is generally friendly if not aloof. I've chatted up the bartenders several times about beer early on in the evening. Really a great beer spot, the best in the neighborhood. Also of note in the area are Hungry Brain (FFF, Half Acre, GLBC), Village Tap, Four Moon (Half Acre, FFF, Founders, 2 Bros), and Johnnie's (RIP).
