Cordova's Flying Saucer occupies the end unit in a strip mall that contains several other businesses. The outside corner is an enclosed patio area with many wooden tables. There is a dedicated parking lot for the mall. Over the entrance is their familiar green and gold sign. Inside their long 21-chair metal topped bar is on the left. On the right are plenty of seating options, and a couple dartboards in one corner. Behind the bar is a long set of tap handles backed by a wall of pennies. Also behind the bar are refrigerator cases of bottled beer, about 130 varieties in all. They have an impressive 70 draft beers in a great variety of styles and a good mix of regional and global crafts. These can be had by the glass or on 5-beer sampler flights, but some higher abv beers are excluded from the flights, making ordering a little complicated. The walls and ceiling are decorated with hundreds of patrons beer club plates, just like other Flying Saucer establishments. Their simple food menu consists of appetizers, salads, pizza, sandwiches, and German bratwurst. The service is friendly and knowledgeable about their beers. The place has a warm and inviting, relaxing atmosphere. This is a nice craft bar on the outskirts of Memphis. You probably won't find another great craft beer bar heading east for about 3 hours!
