I get to Memphis a couple of times a year. I like trying to match up one of trips with the Memphis in May BBQ contest. Unfortunately, I just missed it by a couple of days during my last trip. So, what else to do in Memphis?
The local is easy to spot because of the crowded (and smoky) street side patio.

Thankfully it is smoke free inside. There is a small lounge area to your right and then a cement top curved bar that seats about 12. A couple of small tables to your left and then one of my Favorite features a long community table that must seat about 20. There is also a dining room in the basement.

High ceiling and an exposed brick wall add to the atmosphere. There are lots of TVs so it’s a good place to catch a game.

They offer 6 taps, 4 are from Ghost River and then seasonal offerings from SA and New Belgium. Also offer about 15 bottles and cans which 4 or so are decent. I would like to see a little wider variety, but in talking to some of the patrons, it sounds like they are slowly expanding their offerings. Good for them!
I liked the $3 pints during happy hour!

Food menu is extensive and offers some unique choices (smoked crab deviled eggs, wild boar sausage, goat cheese manicotti). My braised short rib tacos were decent but not earth shattering. Food prices are a bit on the high side IMO.

I liked the tunes, Grateful Dead, the Band, Steve Miller, Little Feat, etc.

Service was southern friendly. I can recommend a stop on your next trip to Memphis.
