Located a few doors down from my homebrew shop, so I make it there a few times a month.

Great bottle selection, but I wouldn't know because they always have 10-12 beers on tap. Definitely heavy focus on Belgians (usually half of the taps) but they also always have at least one quality Wisconsin beer on tap (New Glarus, Tyranena, Ale Asylum, Furthermore, etc.) another 1-2 domestic taps from around the country and the occasional other European beer (this is the only place I've seen Celebrator on tap in WI).

Cozy spot in one of the traditional Madison neighborhoods. Stop in for a beer and some frites and you won't be disappointed.

I have mixed feelings about my recent visit to Brasserie V. The beer selection is good the food was pretty decent, but the service was nonchalant to the point of almost ignoring people that were sitting right beside the bartender.

Several times I and others sitting at the bar said, "excuse me" to the bartender he would continue about his other duties.

Food came quickly and when the beers did get ordered they were returned quickly but it took a while for us to get to the point of actually ordering.

Obviously, there is a chance that this was a fluke visit and the service could be better on other trips. I will try it again sometime.

It's mostly street parking in this neighborhood. All non-smoking and the atmosphere of the restaurant/bar itself is nice.

Stopped here after securing a ticket for the Great Taste, on a sunday afternoon.

Cozy and intimate interior, soft colors, some art on the walls. Nice wooden bar with a rail below. Sizable glassware shelf and bottle display above the bar. Boards listed some seasonal bottles and cheese plate offerings.

They were serving brunch, and there was a good crowd around 1pm. On the menu were several varieties of eggs benedict, the crab and salmon ones were especially good although the side of potatoes were chewy to the point of being inedible.

Service was fairly quick, but the young bartender seemed a little aloof with requests for the usual things. Others in my group had better service, and offered samples even.

Focus on Belgian beer, 12 or so taps of quality imports. Bottle selection had a few gems, such as Mikkeller and Nøgne Ø. Recommended if Belgian beer is your thing...

Personally my favorite thing about this great beer bar's location is that it is 4 doors down from Madison's fine Wine & Hop Shop.

This is a classic beer bar with a high-class atmosphere and not a brewpub. You can find tons of hard to find craft beers in bottles and on tap here but it's pretty ritzy and a dinner for two will kick you in the wallet! Stop buy for some chili or crab cakes and a bourbon barrel ale from Chicago. This location boasts a huge selection of Belgian tap beers and some really good sandwiches too!

Service seemed very good and prices were for sure above average. Food was elegant and the price shows it. If you are looking for pub grub you won't find it here, with the exception of a few gourmet style sides like chili, pizza and onion rings.

The layout is more like a classic storefront / small coffee shop feel with a main bar and 2 rows of dining tables...kind of a skinny small pub style layout but trying to be formal.

I guess there is live music that plays at this beer bar but when we visited it was nice and quiet in the afternoon.
