I had great hope for this place, given the cool name. What a disappointment. It's a sports bar, lots of screaming fans drinking Bud Lite. There's plenty of parking. They have typical bar food.
The beer:
Kings Peak Caraboo Wheat - Typical wheat beer, not bad.
Snake Eye Canyon Red Ale - Very thin and watery.
Hoppy Heartland Pale Ale - thin and watery.
Boston Blackstone Porter - thin and watery.
Shark Tooth Bay Golden Ale - was not available on our visit.
A seasonal ESB - The best of the bunch, but still pretty thin and (you guessed it) watery.

I have no reason to return.

I was sort of disappointed with this place. I looked it up online and thought it would have a good food selection, but it was really not much more than normal bar selections. I had a ribeye with potatoes and vegetables. Decent, but nothing special.

The atmosphere is sports bar all the way, other than the copper vats in the middle of restaurant and the vats behind the bar, this place doesn't have a strong microbrewery feel to it. However, the place is huge and would be a very good place to come and watch a game. They have specials during basically any Detroit team game. The place also offers keno, $4 growler refills, a nice mug club deal (25 oz mug pays pint prices during happy hour)

The service was ok from serving the food standpoint, but serving beer and understanding what was being served they were not too strong. The menu doesn't describe much of description of the beers. I got the sample and two were labeled "special"- no explanation what they were.

The sampler was 6 beers, and it came on a nice canoe shaped platter.

Here is a rundown of all their beer:
Shark Tooth Bay Ale - a little more hoppy than normal but overall pretty weak

Snake Eye Red- not malty for a red, left an odd aftertaste

Caribou Wheat- between their regulars, I thought this was the best one. 50% wheat/50% barley so not an overpowering wheat flavor. Had a sweet and easy drinking quality to it.

Hoppy Heartland - more of a red ale flavor, somewhat bitter

Specials:
Pumpkin Ale - very nice, almost overpowering spice flavor- mostly cinnamon and nutmeg. Very strong smell, very appealing.

Porter- smoky, decent but stronger aftertaste
