This area of Philly's Queen Village, known as South Street Head House District, reminds me of New Orleans' Bourbon Street. Erotic shops and tattoo parlors are dispersed amongst a great variety of shopping, bars and restaurants. It's an area of great diversity and all kinds of cuisine. Street parking is metered, and can be challenging during peak hours. The Latest Dish has a plain brown wooden front, and the interior construction and decor exhibits a motif of rectangles. Their 14 chair yellow wooden bar is on the right, and behind the bar is a wide refrigerated case of about 50 bottled beers, mostly typical import crafts and some domestic craft brews. They also have 7 taps, a mix of trustworthy craft imports and tame domestic craft beers. The food menu is not typical pub fare, but instead features carefully prepared appetizers and dishes. The Latest Dish is a convenient neighborhood dinner spot, whose food menu is more impressive than its craft beer offering.
