English Ales Brewery is a fairly small place in a low-key small strip mall in a semi-industrial area still it manages to have a British feel. There are several TV’s, but conversation rules the day and locals make up the clientele (although we were welcomed). The bar is in a squared U shape with tall chairs on all three sides. Above the bar is a shelf from which regulars’ mugs hang.

Four small round tiled tables provide more seating. Decorations are miscellaneous British prints and other paraphernalia as well as more mugs hanging from the ceiling. The brewery is visible through windows on one side and from the parking lot.

The beer consists of 8 regulars and 3 specials (none available on our visit, however), all ales in various British styles. The Dragon Slayer IPA we tried was very fresh and very British in character.

Food is simple (chicken, sandwiches, burgers, fish & chips, and salads). The turkey and roast beef sandwiches we had were well made and tasty.

Great Brews can be found here. They do offer a Cask selection.

Last Tuesday of every month is Firkin' Tuesday. A Frikin Cask in placed on the bar and all pints are $2 until it is gone.

English Ales can also be found on tap in many local Pubs and Restaurants. My favorite in the Porter, Lighter then some and not as sweet as some but great alaround body and taste. The IPA and Fat Lip Ale are recommended too.
