Cannery Row Brewing is not an actual brewing operation but is instead a beer bar. It's rather generic and touristy and has far too many taps (more than 70) to be confident your beer will be fresh, but it's still a good place to know about if you're visiting the nearby Monterey aquarium.

The space is mostly brick and stained wood. Floors are worn concrete and the black ceilings are very high and have exposed ducting. The decoration is thematic invoking the canneries that used to operate here: i.e., exposed (apparently) old rough-hewn wooden support posts, hanging industrial lighting fixtures, and miscellaneous old equipment. However, the overall atmosphere is more sports bar or tourist restaurant rather than a genuine beer destination. TVs are everywhere, both in the bar with its tall dark wood tables and tall black chairs and the dining area with its padded booths.

Outdoor seating is on a patio on one side of the building (off-street and raised above the street level). In the basement, there is additional seating at large round tables in a sparely decorated but spacious den-like room with green carpeting (and, of course, even more TVs).
