Nice neighborhood bar/restaurant with a very nice outdoor patio area. They had about 15 beers on tap, mostly from what they call the "Benelux" region. They did have a couple of draft selections from Lakefront and quite a few Milwaukee and regional bottled beers.

The food menu is obviously geared toward belgian/french food but there is also a focus on burgers and sandwiches. So you can get your mussels and still have a blue cheese bacon burger if you want.

Overall, I had a good experience here. It isn't exactly what I look for in a place to visit on vacation (because their focus isn't on regional beer). But if you are in the neighborhood I would definitely check them out!

Parking is street parking and meters seem to end at 6pm.

Nestled on the corner of Downer and Bellevue, blocks from the college campus Cafe Hollander is a nice dutch/cyclist themed resturant/bar. They have 20 taps, mostly belgian or belgian styled (besides Kronenbourg 1664... WHY?) and a large list of bottles including some rarer selections. The taps were the proper temp and clean.

The wait staff is prompt and friendly. The beer and food came fast though the place was filled to capacity, we got the last table for 4.

The food was right now, great burger, slightly euro themed with good fries.
