The Sterling Pig occupies a repurposed multistory grey wooden building. Limited parking is free along the street. There is also parking in the rear specifically for the medical center next door, but it seems okay to park their at night. Prominently visible in the front of the building is their lower level bar area, which has four retractable windows that can be opened on a nice day. The main mezzanine floor has the kitchen and dining room, and there is a pleasant subtle smokiness from their wood-fired pizza oven. The place is family friendly and has great food. The bar area is on the lower street level, and has a pleasant, dim, social ambience. The three-sided concrete topped bar has 22 metal stools. The floor is concrete, and the insulated wooden ceiling is painted black. Otherwise, the bar area with warmly lit with many incandescent bulbs. There are a couple televisions for sports and classic rock music is playing. The brick and cinderblock walls are plain and have a chalkboard listing their house beer. They have 10 beers on tap, which are available by glass, 4-beer sampler flights, or growler fills. The beer is good and spans a variety of styles, and I was very fond of their IPAs. The brewery itself is located on the upper level in back, and is partially visible through a windowed door near the back parking lot. Inside is a midsize stainless steel brewing vessels and several small stainless steel fermenters. The staff is pleasant and proficient. Their excellent food menu consists of appetizers, charcuterie, salads, burgers, sandwiches, succulent BBQ, wood-fired pizza, and meat and fish entrees. I really enjoy the ambience, wonderful aromas of their delicious food, and their diverse beer offering.
