Popped into the Ten Cat the other day, and found it to be an inviting little place. If you are a pool player, this is worth a stop if you are in the area, say, if you also plan to hit the Long Room. They have 2 vintage Brunswick tables, one with original baskets, the other has a ball return.

The interior has alot of dark wood and unique tile-work. There is a colorful tile fresco scene on the south wall, to the left of the bar. The bar itself is dark wood, lots of detailing on the back with mirrors. There are front display windows featuring local artists' work.

The vibe was cozy and friendly. It's a pet friendly bar, and the regulars were nice too. A small "hidden" beer garden can be found in the back, as well as a cozy room that may have a fireplace with vintage furniture in the back. Very laid-back bohemian feel, not overrun by the typical Lincoln Park denizens.

Beer selection is average, but not without craft options. They have Chimay in 750's, also Franziskaner and Hacker-Pschorr. On tap I enjoyed a Sprecher Hefe-Weisse and a Sierra-Nevada Pale Ale. It's not a beer destination per se, but adequate. 4/08 SNPA, Red Seal, Scrimshaw, Mad HAtter IPA.
