linkLocated on a big farm amidst splendid scenery, and only a few miles up from Horse Neck Beach, this is a great place for a warm-weather day trip. Beer here is solid though the selection (three lagers and a pretty restrained PA) tends to the safe and low-alcohol. OK for the summer, I guess, but I wish they'd provide a bit more adventurous alternative.
The tap room is just that, a room with taps where people stand around tasting (I'd imagine it crosses some sort of state law line to provide seats). The kids who work the counter are efficient and quick to offer a tour. The tasting ($5) is not a bad deal considering you get to keep the cute little tasting glass. $8 for a growler (you can bring your own, yay!) is a great deal, the $4.50 they charge for the growler itself not so much. Here's hoping they brew up more robust beers in the fall!
