The Birreria is a small beer bar on the 2nd floor of Eataly. Eataly was started by Mario Batalli and operates in NY, Chicago, and a bunch of international locations. It's basically a large Italian market where you can get wine, meats, cheeses, produce, etc. Birreria is their spot for Italian beers.

They have a small menu, and luckily I wasn't hungry because it looked like the plates were small and prices were high (although the food, I'm sure, was outstanding). They have 3 of their own beers, which I believe are brewed at another location, plus a decent beer list that includes local beers (Revolution, 3 Floyds, etc), and about 20 bottled beers from Italian breweries. The imported beers can get expensive (I saw a single 12 oz bottle for almost $100, and most others are in the $15-$30 range), but you don't go to this place if you're being price conscious.

Service was a bit slow, unfortunately, and while full it wasn't too crowded. You go for the atmosphere, and the rare beers are part of that. Overall, it was a great experience and worth visiting if you're in the area.
