Water Street Brewing opened up in downtown Binghamton and was like a breath of fresh air in an area that seemed to have been overlooked by the growth of craft breweries. It's a great place for people to spend time downtown without having to go to the college bars.

The beer there is solid, but a lot of their brews taste similar. When I get a sampler, it's sometimes hard to tell the difference between 2 or 3 of the 4 beers. Regardless, I don't think I've had a beer from there that I haven't liked, and their list of beers rotates fairly frequently as the beers are brewed in small batches.

The food is also good - a bit more upscale than typical bar food, and tasty.
