Requires a little diligence to find...keep going and going...out of town on Main...nestled among storage lockers....but worth the effort! This brewery was modeled after the "Ourayle House" (say: Yer-ale house)in Ouray, CO (say: Yer-A). Good beer (and handcrafted sodas), not quite as quirky but making a valiant effort and did I mention - good beer?
Laid back atmosphere, fun and games available (but not in use as often as you might think), important sports on the big screen, tall tables with stools, a few snuggling couches, nice patio (with a view of the street and storage lockers). A family run and owned outfit...one or another of the owners is usually in residence with kids doing homework in a corner the last time I was there. I pass thru Montrose often and frequently stop for a growler. Horsefly seems to be the latest and greatest for "date night", the 19th hole for the municipal golf course, clandestine business meetings...definitely something new and different for Montrose...non-stuffy realness that's not "too" cowboy but I'm comfy there even if there's a bit of manure on my boots. I give it 2 thumbs up and "I'll have a growler of the pale ale to go, please."
