In 2011, I was unimpressed by Uno's below average offering of beers, which included rather unremarkable pale, red, and blonde ales, and average porter and IPA. When I visited again in 2013, I was pleased to find the quality improved, with new flavorful crafts including coffee milk stout and a wheat wine (10.9%). Uno typically has 5 core house brews plus a couple seasonals, which can all be tried on their sampler flight, and growlers can be filled. The diverse food menu includes a great variety of pizza, appetizers, salads, pasta, chicken, steak, seafood, and burgers. You won't be coddled, but the busy, fast paced service is effective. Uno is located along the busy US-1 highway, and the stand-alone building has a dedicated parking lot. The corrugated steel roof is distinctive, and copper brewing vessels are visible in their brewhouse through glass windows on the side of the building. Enter and on the right is their family oriented dining room with plenty of tables. On the left is the bar area with a three sided 25 chair wooden bar. Past the bar is the enclosed brewhouse and overhead on a second floor mezzanine are their four stainless steel fermenters. The walls are brick and decorated with colorful baseball pennants. I wouldn't go out of my way, but if you're in the area and in the mood for a family-style pizzeria, then it's worth a visit.

It's an Uno's... there's very little else about the location that distinguishes it as somehow associated with brewing. Selection is fairly uninspiring (4 varieties available) and the quality is relatively tame. The atmosphere is straight 'chain restaurant', so it doesn't really pull one in either. That said, it's Uno's.... so, if you like deep dish pizza, you will be happy. When we were there, it was fairly early in the dinner hour and not many people were in the restaurant. Nevertheless, the service left a lot to be desired -- probably took twice as long to be served.
