An excellent traditional scottish pub with a good selection of well kept cask ales, various cooking lagers and reasonable bottle selection. Always 6+ constantly rotating ales well kept and well priced. Also a good selection of malt whiskies. Very friendly staff and punters. A few tv screens showing various sports. Serves food at lunch monday to friday, the steak pie is fantastic and possibly the best value for money anywhere in glasgow. Small old mans bar downstairs which doubles as a comedy club a couple of nights a week. House blues band plays upstairs on a tuesday night. If this place had free wifi I think I would move in :)

The bar is welcoming with lots of varnished wood and cosy tables. The pub is in Glasgow's former theatreland which explains the old theatre posters on the walls.

There is usually at least one beer from Stewart (Edinburgh No.3 is almost a permanent feature) and one from Caledonian, sometimes more. Houston beers are also regularly seen, with the remainder of the six handpumps taken up by Scottish micros and English family brewers. Pricing is cheap for the city centre.
