linkA 1960s mock-Tudor pub for proper drinkers, the Doublet has been under the same ownership for nearly 50 years. There is an upstairs lounge for those for whom the bar is too spartan. Popular with students from the nearby university. There are generally two cask ales available but they are often from the uninspired Greene King range. Still, they are always in excellent condition due to the superb cellarmanship. Close to Kelvinbridge subway station (and an essential call on the Glasgow subway pub crawl).
