Ron's Original Bar & Grille is located at the end of a small suburban strip mall, and there is plenty of parking available. The foyer entrance has impressive brick and stone masonry. The restaurant is divided into separate rooms with dining on the right and the bar room on the left. There is a three-sided dark wooden bar with 16 very comfortable chairs and a few surrounding tables. There are several televisions behind the bar for sports. This place has the feel of an English pub. They have a large food menu, a mix of apps, sandwiches, "ovals", pizza and entrees. Decent food, service and atmosphere. Nice place to relax, watch a game, and have a few beers. They have about 120 bottles, a mix of mainstream domestic and imports, plus a fine variety of national craft beers. There are 20 beers on tap which rotate through new selections when kegs kick. Several taps are typical bar standards, but most are national craft brews. I am impressed that you can create your own three-beer sampler flight for $10.

I'm a regular at Ron's. They do amazing happy hour food specials. You can get a great deal on food. From 5:30-7:30 M-F they do half-price on a bunch of their appetizers and Ovals, which are basically pizzas that are a bit more oily, like extra virgin olive oil instead of tomato sauce. They are good! If you don't get there early, it's hard to get a seat in the bar area and the happy hour deals are only available in the bar. Beer selection is great... I would have to say that the beer prices are a bit higher than they should be so it's a wash at happy hour. Service is great! The bartenders and wait staff are really nice, helpful, and usually they are pretty quick getting you what you're looking for. They have a huge bottle list as well that is available for take out. At Christmas time they do these 6 pack gift baskets where you get 6 beers of your choice, two pint glasses and they put it all in a wicker basket that looks really nice. When you take out bottles, you get $1 off each bottle as well.

This review is post-renovations. Their new bar is *awesome*. Ron's has 20 beers on tap, 16 of them dedicated to craft beer! Anything on their regular menu is fair game at the bar which is awesome (try their Ovals!) They also have a great single beer bottle selection that the manager wants to get up to 500+ beers! They have their usual restaurant section but their new bar area is superb. I visited there today for the first time since the place was finished renovating and they had Mad Elf, Stone's Russian Imperial Stout, and Southampton's Double White on tap to name a few. Their bar area has really been expanded! STOP IN if you're anywhere near Exton!
