Station Taproom is located directly across the street from the Septa Downingtown station. Parking is available in the station lot or along the street. Enter and see tables seating on the right, their 12-chair wooden bar on the left, and straight ahead is a large arch-brick opening to their small kitchen. The small size, open kitchen, deep yellow walls, and mix of bar and table seating reminds more of a breakfast diner than a pub. Nevertheless, the bar is stocked with an upscale selection of whiskey, wine and craft beer. The bar has 13 taps of diverse regional and national craft brews. They also have 33 bottled beers, a mix of national craft brews and time tested European craft imports. I was impressed that you have the option to create your own 4 beer sampler flights from amongst the draft beers. The eclectic food menu draws on American, European and Asia influences, and the fresh ingredients are locally sourced where possible. The restaurant is cozy, the service is excellent, and the food is interesting.

The Station Taproom opened up in the spring of 2010 and hit the ground running with great craft beers on tap and really nice artisanal dishes... Beer prices are on par with the quality of the beer they have and food might be a bit more than bar food, but it's well worth it... Space is a bit tight if it's a crowded night but the atmosphere is really all about the beer... Check out there taplist which is always accurate and you'll see what they have going for them... Right across the street from the R5 Setpa train, so come out to the burgs and check it out! I love this place and no, they aren't paying me!!!
