As of 2012, McKenzie Brew House has three locations (Chadds Ford, Malvern, and Devon), all in PA. I visited Malvern, their second location, a couple times in 2011. The beer sampler was good, which was consistent with their other brewhouses. Their beers are typically average in strength, but nicely flavorful. Of their standard offering, I recommend the American Pale Ale, Saison Vautour farmhouse ale, and Belgian style Wit. They also have English Brown Ale, Oatmeal Stout, and a Light beer. The food menu is diverse with plenty of choices. It is worth a visit for a meal and beer sampler.

We arrived for lunch the other day. The place has a modern interior that doesn’t have a more traditional brewpub feel. That’s ok; the smell of the wood burning pizza oven permeating throughout the restaurant was wonderful. They have six-beer and seven-beer samplers that include a light beer, brown ale, oatmeal stout, farmhouse ale, and a wit beer. On this day they were out of their pale ale. They also have a 3-threads beer that is a mixture of their blonde, brown, and red ales. They have a 15 barrel system for brewing their beers on site. The beers were good but nothing stood out to me; none of their beers are over 30 IBUs. They also have a nice selection of wines and spirits. They have a good, if not a bit unusual menu. The food was good as was the service. The brew house has stairs in front and handicap access on the right side of the building. Inside there is a bar area to the left and a dining area on the right. There are also covered and open outdoor deck areas with a separate bar. All areas are large and open. There is also a downstairs area with separate bar and gaming area. There is no smoking inside the brew house. There is ample parking around the building.
