Flix Brewhouse is the only first-run movie theater to incorporate an in-house microbrewery. Two of my favorite hobbies, craft beer and cinema, are finally combined! This is a brilliant business model, where the combined dinner and a movie concept works very well. They masterfully deliver modern cinema to the public, while also providing a pleasant dining experience with excellently attentive service. The 6-screen theater construction is similar to other modern movie theaters, but in front of every row of seating is an illuminated narrow table for plates and drinks. Entrance to each show is controlled like boarding an airplane, initial meal ordering starts before the show, and service continues quietly throughout the movie by writing your order on paper and pressing an electronic call button. The food menu has great appetizers, pizza, sandwiches and a few entrees. The lobby has 10 high top tables and a full service 14 chair wooden bar. The bar has a couple dozen varieties of bottled beer and 45 taps, a mix of house brews, Texas and national craft beers. They do not serve sampler flights but are gracious to offer tastes of any draft beer. There are about eight house brews, which are well crafted and flavorful. They include Golden Ale, Belgian Pale and Wit Ales, a malty Scottish Ale, a tart Berliner Weisse, a couple varieties of hoppy IPA, and a delicious Satellite Dark Red Ale. Flix Brewhouse impressively combines fresh craft beer and well prepared meals with modern big screen cinema.
