Hopjack's is an impressive franchise for craft beer, and the Palafox location is in a fun, bustling area of Pensacola. There are many restaurants, shops and bars within a short walking distance, and parking is free along the streets. Out front along the sidewalk are several black patio tables. It is a two story brick building with an overhead patio reminiscent of New Orleans architecture. Enter and there is a 15-chair tiled bar on the right. On the left are a few tables and there is a long row of high top table seating along the middle of the restaurant. There are numerous overhead televisions around the perimeter, and the acoustics are loud. The atmosphere is dark and almost industrial, but the food is hot, and the beer is unbeatable. The bar has about 110 beers on tap and also another 110 in bottles! This is undoubtedly the best draft beer selection in Pensacola. They only serve beer by pint glass, but will offer tiny complimentary samples to taste. The food menu is pizza of course, but also features appetizers, salads, and pita folds. I was happy with the friendly and fast service. This is a nice place, and beer hunters will definitely find something new and interesting.
