Uncle Billy's has two distinctively memorable locations, both of which offer succulent BBQ and in-house crafted brews. The Lake Travis restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of the sprawling Oasis complex. Oasis Texas is a collection of shops and restaurants surrounding the famous Oasis Restaurant with its multiple levels of patio seating overlooking beautiful Lake Travis. This complex is filled with storefronts, highly decorated walkways, and an eclectic outdoor sculpture garden. It's a drive to get here from downtown, but the trip for lunch or early dinner is totally worth it. There is plenty of free parking in the nearby multistory garage. Uncle Billy's has a nice 12 chair wooden bar with windows into their stainless steel brewhouse. They have five core house beers (Back 40 Blonde, Ax Handle Pale Ale, Agave Wit Wheat Ale, Vienna Amber Lager, and Hop Zombie IPA), a couple special brews (Hell In Keller Pilsner and Irish Oatmeal Stout), and several bottled guest beers. There are several high tops in the bar area, and the multi-tiered dining area has plenty of tables. The walls consist of glass garage doors that overlook Lake Travis, and there is also a large outdoor deck with superb patio seating. The 400-foot elevation view above Lake Travis was breathtaking, with sparkling bluish-green water, surrounded by white rocks and lush green trees, under a cloud speckled bright blue sky. Wow. When I visited the lake was 30 feet down, still quite scenic, and had incredibly been down 60 feet down earlier in the year. Uncle Billy's has entertaining charm for all ages, and I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. The BBQ was tasty, as well as their offering of southern sides and various sauces. I have never been to another brew pub with such a panoramic view of inspiring scenery.

What could be better than Uncle Billy's on Burnet? Uncle Billy's with a view! If you like the Oasis, you will love this place. Bigger than the original, with more brewing capacity and (soon to be) two levels for seating, this place is amazing. The view over lake Travis, especially at sunset, shouldn't be missed.
Serving their own beer (which is excellent) as well as that from others, you can always find a beer you'll like. The food is great and right there is plenty of staff to handle the customers.
If it wasn't an hour from my house, I would live here.
