The hanging flower baskets outside/on the Churchill Arms are beyond belief - beautiful, colorful, extensive, and clearly very well taken care of. Inside the bar is made of dark historic oak. It extends through the front are of the pub and around the corner towards the back.

All kinds of odd artifacts hang from the ceiling - chamber pots, old lanterns, an old golf bag, old just, kegs, kettles, an old radio, etc. The clientele is varied: manual laborers, office workers, locals of various types, and tourists and the combination works. The pub has a real authentic pub/local atmosphere. We noticed a poster advertising that the pub was nominated for β€œLondon’s Best Loved Local 2008” and we could believe it, especially when the owner (recognized from the photo on the poster) stopped at our table to clear it off and wipe it clean from the previous customers.

Food is Thai and ordered around back. Ours was truly excellent - quite spicy hot (as we ordered), crisp green beans, and perfect rice.

Four real ales from Fullers are available. On our visit: Chiswick Bitter, London Pride, ESB, and Discovery Blonde Ale.
