We had very friendly service here at this great pub filled with good pub atmosphere - conversation and quiet conviviality. The space is rectangular with a very long wooden bar with bar chairs. The bar itself has columns with a shelf above. There are lots of windows with wooden Venetian blinds and flanked by tall narrow Corinthian columns and several neoclassical statues. The tall ceiling is an orange/peach color with an embossed design. There are a few small round tables with leatherette chairs as well as a number of more standard wooden tables and chairs. A row of picnic tables line the sidewalk outside.

Food menu seemed typically British pub. We had the beef and ale pie with chips and a salad with a delicious intense mustard dressing. The beef was excellent.

There were only two real ales on during our visit so the selection score isn’t very good but it looked like there are normally two more which would bump the pub up to the higher end of the scale.
