Kroghs has a lot of things going for it the location, the food, the atmosphere, and of course the strongest is the beer. This brew pub is right on Lake Mohawk. Be prepared to hunt for parking as it is usually packed during peak hours. Be sure to make a reservation as well if you're planning on going friday/saturday night or else you're looking at an hour wait time. Once you get inside it's very cozy and ambiance seems really fluid. Throughout the week they have live music perform which can be a little overwhelming but it happens well after dinner time so it's just the bar crowd at that point. The menu is fairly standard brew pub food you won't see many curve balls here but from everything I've tried it's all been pretty quality. As for the beer, it's one of the rare micro breweries where I love just about everything on tap my favorite happens to the alpine glow red ale but try them all. The last time I was there I got addicted to the vanilla porter and since it's so close I find myself swinging by to fill a growler up. I've visited quite a few of the local brew pubs so far and this one is definitely in my top 3. I would wholly recommend visiting.
