Friday evenings 5-7pm Cricket Hill Brewery opens its doors for a $5 "tour" that includes tastings of about 4 beers. I was surprised at how popular this event is, which created the atmosphere of mini-beerfest. The beers are great, each well crafted and flavorful. If you like, purchase some to go in bottle or growler. Hopnotic IPA is a popular favorite, and in addition to the several on tap, ask if they have any specials in bottles. I was lucky enough to sampler their 2010 Barleywine and a tremendous Russian Imperial Stout (so good!). Lastly, near the end of the session, stick around to hear Rick rant about the virtues of New Jersey beer. Very entertaining!
