linkQuite possibly Ireland's only true specialist beer store, the selection in the Ale House is among the best in the country, and certainly the best in Cork. On a good day, the shelves are groaning and it's difficult to navigate the bottle-filled hampers on the floor.
All this and friendly, knowledgeable staff too.
As with any shop of this kind in Ireland, watch out for the dates on the bottles. The special offers are generally beers that have been sitting around a long time, though that may not be made explicit in the signage.
With this one caveat, a visit to the Abbot's Ale House can be very profitable indeed.
