BadaBoomz carries one of the most well thought out beer selections in Indianapolis. Their 40+ taps are made up of mostly Midwest beers and they are one of the few places in town to already have offerings from Brugge on tap. The owner, Mike DeWeese, previously ran a BW3 at the same location, also with a great selection of beer, but wanted to focus on the beer instead of being a chain restaurant and thus BadaBoomz was born. There's also a selection of around 100 bottled beers and if you ask the right person, you can purchase something from Mike's beer cellar. Previously each Friday he would do tastings of his aged beers, but now he has switched to a monthly beer concept. For example, in January he was selling Sierra Nevada Bigfoot from 2000 for $7 a bottle. There are also typically 2 beers available from a hand pull.

I would describe the food as good bar food. They have your typical variety of pizzas, sandwiches, burgers and fried things. Their onion rings are colossal and their tenderloin is pounded to perfection. Everything on the menu has sample beer and wine pairings. If there's not an event at Conseco going on; such as a Pacers game, BadaBoomz can validate your parking in the lot next door. The atmosphere is generally nice, but has more of a restaurant feeling than a bar or pub feeling.

Their drink specials during the week are great. At the time of writing this all pints are $2.75 on Mondays. They also have a night where goblets are on sale (most of the stronger beers are served in goblets) and all beers from Big Ten states are on sale. They also have AHA discounts.

Overall, BadaBoomz is the place to go downtown if you're looking for a night out with some great regional beers.
