A bit out of town (but quite convenient to I-5), across from a large stand of trees, Top Rung is in a good-sized converted warehouse with extremely high ceilings and a lot of light from plenty of windows. There are several picnic tables on the patio in front. A couple of tall tables with bar stools, and two beautiful picnic tables made from thick wood boards inside. There are also bar stools along the side bar that separates the tasting room from the brewery.

In the brewery there is a gleaming new 10 BBL brewing system with several matching fermenters and abundant room for expansion.

This is a very comfortable and friendly place, with extremely nice and helpful staff. Top Rung is both dog and kid-friendly.

The Prying Irons IPA, was very good with plenty of citrus flavor, and a pleasant citrus zest and bitter finish. They have a good range of beers and all were very well made, fresh, and true to style.

Growlers are available. (We couldn’t leave without a growler of the IPA to go!)

Super new place in Lacey WA. This is a must stop for any beer geek in the area. They have terrific beer and provide the best experience possible. Stop by see, chat and taste some great beer. If you are looking for food they at times have a food truck outback but you can also bring your own. They have games and are kid friendly. This will fastly become my fav place for great beer in Lacey/Olympia WA.
