The other review is outdated. There are roughly eight taps, most of them Indianan except for a Tyranean stout, all of them relatively interesting. Three Floyds, Sun King's double IPA, Flat 12 IPA, and a Bloomington Brewing IPA on cask this last time. The cask changes every day, cycling through Indiana breweries. I ended up with a Hoppin' Frog Scotch Ale 22oz, which they had for $8. Only $8 because it was on their "sale" list, which they use to push stuff that they need to clear out. I love when bars do this. North Coast's Red Seal was on there, as well another ten or so bottles. The bottle list was impressive. Not mind-blowing, but excellent for a little pub like this. At least rivaling Bazbeaux down the street, which is my go-to for $5 BrewDog Hardcore IPA.
Food was very good. The menu is interesting, at the least, and they're the only place in town that I know of that has haggis. You could argue it's bland, but it's Scottish, so it's kind of supposed to be at least a little bland. Prices range from $7 to $20 for entrees. The sandwiches are on the cheaper end, but come with a choice of a very wide array of sides.
I like the atmosphere. It's either an old building or made to look that way, as they've got nice, old hardwood floors inside. The place is noisy, but it's cozy at the same time. On nice evenings they open up the windows, where you can sit facing the street. Like other Indiana spots, there are separate bar and restaurant areas, with tables in both. They have several TV's throughout the two areas. The first time I went in, there was smoking in the bar, but they've ousted that, and I found it much more enjoyable. It seems like smoking is still available by the windows (at least until the law goes into affect), but it wasn't really an issue for us inside. The bar does get busy, but we had a fantastic server, who was always right there, smiling.
If you're looking for a place to sample a variety of Indiana breweries, this would be a good option. They have some interesting ones, but don't go quite as crazy as Tomlinson's, but also seem to not be as busy. Between this place and Bazbeaux, you can get a wide variety of local brews from different breweries.

Macniven's, I had high hopes and was expecting this to be the crown jewel of indy... but like a fall down the stairs, or rolling in broken glass... it was nothing but pain and disappointment... when you have say 12 taps and 4 are macro and the rest are average sam, guiness, save for 3 or 4... it's like huh... and then you look at the bottle list, hoping for something especially with the vintage reputation this place has, and get... (crickets) mass ave. falls flat on it's face.

it's an irish bar, with an english flare... it's nothing you haven't seen before.

bartender didn't have time to serve me here, so after a good 10 minutes with some eye contact, decided to walk back.
