linkWe stayed in the Calistoga Inn on a trip through Napa to get a change of pace from the wine. The location is great, right off the main road through Napa Valley, just south of Sonoma Valley. The Inn in general is located on the main street and from what I understand reasonably priced compared to competitors. Inn has little in the way of amenities, but the continental breakfast is good.
Not much positive to say about the beers. They have an awesome beer garden just off the restaurant area, very much in the tradition of a german beer garden, including bocce and horseshoes.
They had 6 beers on tap, we tried the sampler and most were nearly undrinkable. Porter was decent, but kolsch, pilser and red were terrible.
Decent place to stay if you go to Napa, but do not go for the beer.

linkCalistoga Inn and Brewery has a nice dark wood bar area with additional tables on the side. There are 2-3 TV's in the bar. It is adjacent to an upscale historic dinning room and a large outside seating area next to the creek.
There were 6 house brews on tap when I visited plus a Wyder's cider and Pabst. I tried the Red Ale and the Porter. Both had a distinct sharp sweet taste that didn't sit well with me. I didn't finish the Porter (which is unusual).
The restaurant is upscale and pretty pricey. We didn't sample anything on this trip but the weekend brunch looked interesting so we may come back for that. The location is great but parking is on the street and since Calistoga is a resort town, it can be crowded.
