This is a tiny, laid back, corner joint in the Langdon neighborhood of NE DC. They have about four seats at the bar and seating for maybe 25 – 30. About another half dozen or so picnic tables outside. They want to be a neighborhood bar and they nailed that. They’ve been open for about a year and are still honing some of their recipes. The clientele seems to be mostly locals wandering in with kids. Ample supply of board games, etc.

On my visit, they had nine of their own beers on tap plus a few cans and beer cocktails. We tried the Hibiscus IPA (very flowery taste) and the Breakfast Porter (quite nice).

This is truly a Mom & Pop operation, with Mom & Pop doing the brewing and working the bar. Limited food options now, but they plan to grow the menu. During our visit, they brought out a cake and paper plates for anyone who was interested. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area, especially because there aren’t many other choices nearby.
