Can't add much more than what others have posted. I enjoyed my time and I hope to make it back. Not exactly metro accessible as there is a decent walk, but that's probably the preferred path as the street parking is spotty since it's just metered parking along the streets or trying your luck in a residential area.

Lots of local taps available which I always enjoy. I hate going to a bar and finding nothing but choices from everywhere but here, especially when there is a great selection of local breweries in DC now.

Outstanding beer selection. Two dozen drafts, half of which are from local breweries (DC Brau, Mad Fox, Devil’s Backbone, Port City, etc.) )and somewhere around 50 to 100 bottles. I didn’t see a single Anheuser-Busch product anywhere. Very knowledgeable bartender. There are probably two to three dozen beer books on the back bar, just in case anyone has a really obscure question.

I can pretty much live on pub grub, but it’s nice to see choices beyond wings & burgers. They have a unique menu with items such as Fries with Rarebit Sauce, Goat Cheese Risotto Cakes, and Smoked Duck. Don’t worry; they have regular burgers and sandwiches.

Very family friendly.

Meridian Pint is a great local in Columbia Heights, just 8-10 minute walk from the Metro. They have 24 beers on tap, and a cask with dining upstairs and a downstairs bar with pool and shuffleboard. They also have a few booths with self-serve digital taps. The beers available on those change, but you don't have to wait for table service...just pour what you need. The food is top notch for bar food and the beer selection is diverse and well cared for. Good beer events are common, so check their website.
