linkThis is a delightful gem; a real surprise. I had low expectations, assuming that this was simply brewing as a novelty to attract tourists. We were wrong. We tried the Spruce Tip Ale (with a pleasant essence of spruce; unlike some Lysol-ed beers that Ive tried), the Chilkoot Trail IPA and the Blue Top Porter. They were all solid and within the style guidelines. Full food menu. Great atmosphere. Several joints in the region made it clear that they were happy to take money from tourists, but really found them kind of annoying. Not the case here. I wont go as far as saying we were treated like locals, but we were welcomed. I will return if we go back to Skagway.
