Visited Hog Haus tonight in Fayetteville, AR. It's located in the heart of the U of Arkansas in the major bar strip. Hog Haus would be the upscale type bar in a college town.

The bar is nicely decorated with two stories and outdoor seating on the second floor over looking Dickson St.

Hog Haus has a pretty wide selection of beers that they brew onsite. It looks like around 20 different types that they will brew through the course of the year. I tried the sample platter, consisting of 6 different beers including: Woodstock Wheat, Fat Boy Blue, Curly Tail Ale, Ruby Red Ale, Scout Stout, and the IPA.

The Scout Stout was OK and the Curly Tail Ale was decent. Fat Boy Blue really didn't have much blueberry flavor and the Woodstock Wheat was just OK.

The food was alright. I had the Curly Tail Ale BBQ Chicken pizza. The pizza has both marinara sauce and BBQ sauce, which I haven't experienced before, but it turned out pretty well.

I was hopeful when I saw how many different beers Hog Haus brewed, but the taste was just average for those brews. It's a nice place and if you are town I'd recommend stopping by, but like I said, the beer was average.

I visited the Hog Haus Brewery while participating in the 2007 Bikes, Blues and BBQ motorcycle rally in Fayetteville, AR.

The Hog Haus is a typical beer bar in a college town: lively, fun, faster paced. There were plenty of brews on tap; I went with the IPA which I enjoyed but was not outstanding in any way.

Staff was great, particularly given the crowds due to the bike event. I didn't eat as I couldn't get a seat (neither a table nor a seat at the bar) but there was room near the bar for "standers" and I lumped in with some other guys in my same boat and had an enjoyable discussion of various "beer 'n bikes" inspired topics. The menu looked good, though.

Annoyances: None, actually. This was a solid brewpub, just not outstanding in any way.
