Stopped in on our way to Nashville. What a great place. It’s a typical pub with some pretty good food and beer. The seven beer sampler was $3.75 though they are smaller samples then I am accustomed to. They also have wines and spirits available. They bottle at their nearby warehouse and sell several of their beers in 22 ounce bottles. They also have growlers to go, they are glass and stainless; beer prices vary depending on the gravity of the beer. They have an 8 barrel system. They do some barrel aging in the warehouse and will start canning soon. They have a nice long bar area and many tables and booths in two different areas on the main level. There are a few tables on a mezzanine level. There is an upstairs grain room as well as a tap room with a second bar and pool tables. They still have a mug club. The place is no smoking but the upstairs tap room is designated for smoking after 9 pm. They have Wi-Fi. Metered street parking and a nearby parking garage are available.

Black Horse is a typical local’s brewpub in a college town. There is a long bar area with some tall table and booth seating. There is additional meal seating in an adjacent room and upstairs where there is a second bar. There were about a half dozen house brews on tap. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a photo of the tap list but the Red Ale and the Coal Miner’s Stout that I enjoyed reflected their styles well. The menu includes pizza, normal pub fare plus some more upscale entrees. We were able to park on the street but I imagine parking could be difficult at busy times.
