linkA cavernous bar on a street corner in a less-than-salubrious part of Christchurch, the Loaded Hog is decked out with all manner of rustic bric-a-brac to give an entirely incongruous rural feel.
You can try the four house beers looking out onto the adult boutiques and party pill shops across the way.
I was there on a quiet weekday afternoon, sampling the good pub food, but I take it from the layout that it's intended for the evening crowd -- to pack them in and get them sloshed.
Christchurch doesn't have the nightlife of New Zealand's other cities, but my guess is that this is one of the places you can get a buzz after dark.
