Central Bierhaus is located in a newer shopping center with a lot of shops and restaurants in more of a business region. The interior is a big open area with a variety of long benches with long stools, taller benches with stools, booths, tables and chairs, and a long bar with a lot of TVs that runs the length of the place. There is also a big screen that has sports on it toward the back of the restaurant. The decor is somewhat rustic, with some open walls and exposed pipe.

The beer selection is impressive. There is a book that lists all the taps according to both style and brewery location. There are probably almost 50 beers. There is also another book for the bottle (and can) list. The menus are really detailed with descriptions, alcohol percentage, brewery locations, and serving size. The staff seemed to be knowledgeable of their selection.

The food is distinctly German although there are some other options outside of that, like chicken wings or whatever. They do serve a large amount of sausage, and I think the vegetarian options are pretty limited.

The restaurant has wifi, which was important to me so I could use my phone to browse the web and chat via WhatsApp since I didn't pay for international roaming.

This is a good place to get something to eat as well as enjoy a few beers, or even watch a game. Can't say when I'll be back to Kanata but it's definitely a place I'd like to visit again.
