Between the crazy guy two seats over yelling to himself about imagined past grievances, the sorry Big Nose pours, and the warm other pours, this place is borderline "suck." However, they have a happy hour with half off drafts (which puts most at about $2) and a really interesting menu, with both lamb and elk burgers. Redeemed... at least to an extent. If you're intent on staying on the 16th Street Mall, you won't do much better. Take the shuttle and walk a block or two off though, and - yes - you will do much better.
Seasonal versions of many locals: Dry Dock, Avery, New Belgium, Great Divide, Breckenridge. None very interesting. Three Big Nose on drafts. The one I had - the red - was awful.
Atmosphere is loud and service is spotty.

Conveniently located on the 16th street mall in Denver, the Paramount Cafe is a fine to visit for beer and camaraderie. Paramount Cafe occupies part of the beautiful, historic Kittredge Building, built in 1891 and on the National Register of Historic Places. As an avid beerhunter I am also seeking new beers, and it was here (and only here) that I found two Big Nose Brewing beers, so I suspect this hidden brewery is somehow connected with Paramount. While the Paramount bar was entertaining (couches and skeeball), the Big Nose beers were very disappointing. But Paramount also had plenty of better beers on tap, and you can create your own sampler, a wonderful option I think all craft beer bars should have.
