Excellent nano-brewery in Marquette that is slowly turning into a full blown brewery. They installed a 3bbl system system this winter and now have 8-beers on tap.

Excellent beers, consistently good body, color, appropriate clarity, and flavor.

The atmosphere runs from college age to professional, conservative to hipster. This place culturally is all over the map - and that is what makes it work.

This is also the unofficial "biker bar" in Marquette, mountain bikers, I mean.

The facility is a restored home in "The Village" on 3rd Street. They serve no food because of their license. However, a variety of local merchants will deliver, and you are welcome to bring your own.

The fall of 2011 brought an outdoor beer garden, open based on the weather. Nothing beats sitting outside on a beautiful Marquette summer day and enjoying a Blackrocks Brew. The owners and brewers, Andy and David, have created a unique atmosphere that has garnered a lot of attention - near and far.

Current hours of operation: Thurs - Sunday 5 - 10. In May 2012 - I believe they are adding hours on Weds. and earlier weekend opening times.
