Johansson Dining House is a beautiful 1913 building converted into an English style pub and banquet rooms. The exterior is Victorian style, painted blue and white, and there is a small municipal parking lot across the street. Enter into a foyer and pass through a doorway to the bar room on the right. The pub has tables, a few games, and a 20-chair wooden bar, and a doorway separates the dining room from the bar. The menu includes English inspired pub fare plus typical Maryland food. The bar offers a two dozen mainstream national and import bottled beers, a dozen taps of national craft beers, plus four taps of House brews. The Johansson beers included Harry Hood Porter, Honest Ale, Whistle Stop Amber Ale, and Hoodlehead IPA. Although not outstanding, these were well-crafted, tasted very fresh, and the hoppy IPA was my favorite.
