On Thursday, I swung through downtown to obtain a multi-day [in this case = 4-days] San Diego MTS transit pass. It is sold only at MTS' Transit Store @ Broadway & 1st Ave. It is not a scratch-off paper ticket. You must inform the clerk when you want to begin using the pass. He | She perforates the dates you choose. You can buy a 1-day pass from any operational bus, or at a trolley station, but four 1-day passes will cost more than one 4-day pass [$20 v. $15]. My pass was valid from Friday to Monday.
I have been to this Oggi's location previously. It was probably in 2003. I alert you this is a brewing Oggi's. Not all of them are. It has a decor typical of a sports bar, with its common menu. Besides the beers, I had only appetizers, because they were on 'happy hour' discount. I had the basic nachos: i.e.; jalapeños, & melted cheese. No ground beef, or chicken. They were OK. I minimize my intake of jalapeños, because I need my taste buds to consume different styles of beer. I do not want my tongue burnt to a crisp by a spicy pepper, and then being unable to detect occluded flavor ingredients of a craft beer. My favorite beer was its McGarvey's Scottish Ale. The beers were OK. Service was OK. Pricing is average.
If you are in San Diego, and you don't want to drive to any brewpubs or good beer bars, this Oggi's location could be on your list. But it doesn't have to be. It probably tops out at slightly above three stars; but not 3½, and definitely, not rounded up to four.
Transit options: You will have to ride the Green Line Trolley, not that that is a problem. The brewpub is four blocks north of the Fenton Parkway station. But you will have to walk what amounts to an extra block because its entrance is on the eastward-facing side of the edifice; the aspect facing the parking lot. It is in a strip mall with other stores.
