My wife and I ate / drank at Churchill's twice during a visit to Savannah in Feb 2010.

The beer selection was good; about 10 craft draught beer, 10 import draught beers, 10 craft bottled beers and import bottled beer.

The food menus tends toward British public house / restaurant fare; but, there is ample choice.

We were pleased with our two dinners there. I enjoyed the following select beers: Clipper City [2X] IPA, Pils Urquell Pilsner, Sweetwater Pale Ale, and Terrapin Rye Pale Ale.

At first I thought Churchill's (located a bit down from Moon River) was a chain, but it appears to be a single location. The place seemed smoke free and not too noisy. It is HUGE which is something you realize when you have to go downstairs to the restroom. It is a traditional British pub and except for having a pretty long draft list, seemed quite authentic.

On the draft menu I counted 18 craft or imported beers and 2 BMC, for bottles there were 27 craft/imported and 12 BMC. The food was pub grub and while authentic, didn't trip my trigger very much. It was all gravy and potatoes and while filling, not so tasty.

Our server was attentive and put up with our BS. He did mess up when I asked for another glass of water he brought me a Heavy Seas Loose Cannon, which in some places might be mistaken for water if the water poured like molasses. Anyway, another water was fetched and another beer consumed to keep the world in equilibrium.

I'd drop back in, something for the BMC crowd, something for the Beer Mappers. Oh, parking down there can be a pain!
